A dream just a decade ago, the Joseph and Wolf Lebovic Jewish Community Campus is changing the landscape of York Region - home to the world’s fastest growing Jewish Community anywhere outside of Israel.
Spread across 50 acres on Bathurst Street north of Rutherford Road, the Lebovic Campus is a vibrant intersection of a burgeoning young Jewish community. Designed with community in mind, the Lebovic Campus blends the finest in Jewish education, culture, recreation and celebration.
The Lebovic Campus is currently home to TanenbaumCHAT at the Kimel Family Education Centre which ushered in a new era of Jewish education in September 2007, as it opened its doors for the school year.
In the near future, other remarkable community institutions will follow TanenbaumCHAT to a new and proud home north of the city. They will include Schwartz/Reisman Centre, Phil Granovsky Sports & Recreation Pavilion, Sharp Family Atrium, Theatre, Children & Family Pavilion, Community Services Pavilion and many more centres of excellence vital to serving the needs of York Region - Canada’s third-largest Jewish community.
